There is still time to donate to the Mayors' Feed the Hungry Program and help needy people in the community for the holiday season. The mayors of Bradenton, Palmetto, Sarasota, Venice, Longboat Key and North Port, and the Manatee and Sarasota county commission chairmen, all endorse the effort to feed the hungry in the area. Food collection continues through Friday. The food drive culminates from noon to 5 p.m. Friday at Ed Smith Stadium, 2700 12th St., Sarasota, where the Baltimore Orioles are hosting the sorting of the donated food.
